I am maal_, born in 1971, living in the wonderful city of Cologne and I am one of these artists who was hidden behind the wall of life.

Fascinated by street art and inspired by Banksy, van Ray, Ben Eine and Martin Whatson, I walk through life with my eyes open to discover the special motifs. Often it is the simple that hides ingenuity.

For me, street art means creating something new out of what already exists, making something valuable out of what is supposedly worthless, and addressing socially critical issues out of simple illustrations.

This website is the step beyond my wall. I do not stay in its shadow anylonger. I show the way I live art.
